Construction toys
 When
we talk about construction toys, most of us think ‘Lego’.
This is not remarkable since the first Lego bricks appeared in 1955 and
millions of these bricks are still sold every year. Even new competitors
like K’nex couldn’t dethrone Lego, although the manufacturer
of these plastic bricks wasn’t the first to start with construction
sets.
In the Toy Museum you will find many older, but not less interesting construction
systems. Anker (imitation stones made from chalk, pressed sand and line-oil),
Matador (wooden building elements with little sticks), huge creations
with Meccano are just a few from the many different kinds of construction
toys.
